New Obsession

I recently have become obsessed with photography (probably because of my photo mission...) so every night I have taken to staring longingly at several cameras online. I totally want one of these Blackbird Twin Lens Reflex cameras!! It is based on a camera that came about in the 20's, I love old photography and this light plastic camera can give you that look. The only problem is that it takes film, so not only do you have to pay for that but not many places develop film anymore :(

I also want a regular digital camera! But not one of those cheep, little digital cameras that every high school girl uses to take
her facebook photos with. I want an awesome camera that is going to take good quality, professional looking pictures! But just wanting all of these things is not good enough, you have to have money to buy them and that I do not have! So if any of you out there in "cyberspace" have some extra money lying around (does anyone have that anymore?) and you are feeling generous, I WANT A CAMERA! Thank you! :D

Movies, Movies, Movies!

So last night I watched the movie Gigantic starring Paul Dano and Zooey Deschanel, two people I absolutely love! There is also a random and hilarious appearance by John Goodman who plays the father of Deschanel. Basically the movie is about Brain who works at a mattress store in NYC and is in the process of adopting a baby from China. But then he meets Harriet aka Happy and falls in love, I suppose. We follow Brian through out his journey; we meet his family which includes is shroom doing father, his friend who works in a laboratory studying depression in rats all day and we see a sketchy guy randomly following Brian who beats the shit out of him a couple of times (well until Brian stabs him and kills him....) The Pros of this movie are the characters and Paul Dano's face of course. The Cons are: a spotty story line and an abrupt ending. But then again it is an indie film so what do you expect? It also has a lot more swearing in it than I thought.... I would recommend this movie to anymore that likes Paul Dano and can enjoy a good indie film.

I give it a B+

Adventure

So I have not blogged in a long time but have recently been inspired to! This inspiration has come from the book This is Not a Book by Keri Smith. And one of my "missions" is you take a picture everyday for a month; so I am going to do that and every Friday I am going to post the pictures from that week. I started on September 8, 2009 and will be ending on October 8, 2009! Since I started in the middle of a week, this week will only have four pictures, but next week will have way more! (Could I maybe say week a couple more times?) So let the adventure begin!!
